vintage china...

We keep finding the most lovely sets of vintage china, but for some reason people seem to be afraid of using them for every day.We buy wonderful sets of vintage china at estate sales for far less than you can buy a set at a department store, and we USE it! We even put it in our dishwashers, and though it is true that in time some of the gold starts to fade, its after years of washings, and we mix it up and match it up for parties, and it adds a lot of color and personality, especially to modern homes.
Imagine how great all theses sets would look mixed up together!
All of these sets are available for sale. contact wendoxia@aol.com

color wars....

I was very unhappy when given this room to stage in this darling little condo in west hollywood, because I never would have painted a small dining room such an intense color, but now when I see how it turned out, it really works! We cut the red with a big piece of art, and kept everything else neutral, and blood red walls and all, this condo sold in one day!

sales!

We have decided to branch out from just selling our vintage finds through private sales to our clients and friends...and start selling to the public..
A vintage silver squashblossom necklace..
Look at this fabulous African headdress we found at an estate sale!
This mahjong set comes complete with instruction manual and a letter detailing how it was brought back from china in 1920 as a gift from a naval officer to his sister. Adorable!

a swanky high rise....

I loved staging this high rise in Century City. It was a clean and empty palate, and so fun to dress up. It wasnt very big, so we kept in simple.

making the most of a cute little house....

This lovely home in Beverlywood was about to be sold by the family of a 90 year old couple. It was in good shape, but very very dated. They didnt want to spend on a major overhaul, so I suggested we remove all the carpets and drapes, polish the floors and paint everything white, except for a soft peach in the kitchen that sets off the cabinets and mutes the peach appliances. We brought in white blinds, a minimal amount of clean lined modern furniture and accessories, and dealt with the vinyl-floored, awkward "family room" by adding some sisal rugs, whiting out the paneling and bringing a hamptons look.
The realtors were able to list the house for $799,000 instead of the original estimate of $650,000. They have multiple offers in a week. Done, and done.
